Age Restrictions :

Generally the minimum age is 21 years, but can vary between the car hire company and location. Maximum age limits apply in some locations, a young/senior driver surcharge may apply.

Rules, Laws and Regulations :

Vehicles drive on the right hand side of the road.
Pass other vehicles on the left hand side.
Seat belts are mandatory to wear by all passengers and driver in a vehicle.
Mobile phones cannot be used while driving, with the exception of a hands free system.
Must give way to emergency vehicles, buses, trams and trains.
Dipped headlights are to be used at all times while driving on motorways and carriageways.
Drivers are to carry at all times while driving, a valid driver’s licence, registration documents and insurance documents.
Must carry with you at least one spare glass or contact lenses for drivers who use corrective eye-wear.

Child Safety Seats :

Children under 150cm in height are required to be seated in the back seats of the vehicle and be fasted in either a seat belt or appropriate child restraint.

Drink Driving :

The legal blood alcohol content (BAC) limit is 0.05mg/100ml.
Police have authorisation to carry out random alcohol test on drivers at any time. Motorists found over the limit face heavy fines from loss of licence, vehicle impounded, fines up to imprisonment.
If found over the limit at the event of an accident, insurance companies have the rights to refuse claims.

Day 1 : Arrival - Bastia

Welcome to Corsica! After Immigration And Custom Formalities Pick Up Your Rental Car & Travel To Your Hotel. On arrive check in to the hotel. (Please note that Standard Check in time is 1600 Hrs). Bastia is a city on the French island of Corsica. Bars and restaurants line the Old Port, with the twin-towered Church of St. Jean-Baptiste rising behind it. Terra Nova, a centuries-old citadel with ramparts, was built by Genoese rulers. Nearby is the Cathedral of Ste. Marie, filled with paintings and marble statues. The Governor’s Palace houses the Bastia Museum, showcasing the city’s history. Overnight Stay at Bastia Hotel.

Day 2 : Bastia - Cape Corse

After Breakfast proceed to visit Cap Corse. Cap Corse is a 40 kilometres long peninsula located at the northern tip of the island. At the base of it is the second largest city in Corsica, Bastia. Cap Corse is also a Communauté de communes comprising 18 communes. Make an excursion around the Cap Corse. First, cross the peninsula to the west coast. Explore the charming village of Pino, with its Genoese towers and baroque Église Sainte-Marie. Continue north to the Col de la Serra and Cap Corse’s best-known landmark, the Moulin Mattei. The terrace surrounding this stumpy former windmill offers some of the most operatically gorgeous views on the island. Turn inland toward the beautiful village of Rogliano, known for “maisons d’Américains,” colonial-style houses that were built by Corsicans returning home after having made a fortune in the New World. Stop at the well-marked viewpoint nearby, from which, on a clear day, you can see as far as the island of Elba. A little farther on is the seaside town of Macinaggio. Overnight Stay at Bastia Hotel.

Day 3 : Bastia To Calvi

After breakfast check out from the hotel & proceed to Calvi. Calvi is a town on the northwest coast of Corsica. It's known for its beaches and crescent-shaped bay. A medieval citadel overlooks the marina from the bay's western end, and is home to Baroque St-Jean-Baptiste Cathedral and cobbled streets. Restaurants line the harbor on the Quai Landry esplanade. Perched on a high hill a short distance inland, the chapel of Notre-Dame de la Serra has panoramic views of the area. Overnight Stay at Calvi Hotel.

Day 4 : Calvi - City Tour.

After breakfast proceed for a city tour of Calvi. Overlooking the marina is the medieval Citadelle de Calvi which is the town’s main attraction. The climb up to this 13th century Genoese fortress can prove challenging to some but the views over the Bay of Calvi from its ramparts make the effort well worthwhile. Within the walls of the citadel are a number of other historic attractions including the Governor’s Palace and the Baroque Cathédrale St-Jean-Baptiste. There’s also a house which claims to have been the birthplace of Christopher Columbus. Outside the walls nearer to the port is the pink Église Sainte-Marie which is recognised as a French Historic Monument. A lovely walk for those who are physically able is to the chapel of Notre Dame de la Serra which stands on a hill some 3km inland. Visitors are rewarded with panoramic views of the Corsican countryside. The lovely beaches along this stretch of the Corsican coast have turned Calvi into a popular holiday destination. The most convenient beach for cruise ship passengers wishing to enjoy some sun, sea and sand is Plage de Calvi which lies just 2km south of the port and can be reached on foot. Day 5 : Calvi To Ajaccio.

After breakfast check out from the hotel & proceed to Ajaccio. Ajaccio is the capital of Corsica, a French island in the Mediterranean Sea. A port city on the rugged isle's western coast, it was the birthplace of French Emperor Napoléon Bonaparte in 1769. His ancestral home, Maison Bonaparte, is now a museum displaying family heirlooms. The baroque, 16th-century Notre-Dame Cathedral, where Napoléon was baptized, contains paintings by Delacroix and Tintoretto. In fact, the self-styled 'Cité Impériale' still carries a grand architectural and cultural air. Overnight Stay at Ajaccio Hotel.

Alternatively, or in addition, visit the city’s wonderful market and the superb Musée Fesch, which contains one of France’s finest collections of Italian old masters. Day 8 : Ajaccio To Bonifacoi.

After breakfast checkout from hotel & proceed to Bonifacio. Bonifacio is a town on the southern tip of the French island of Corsica. It’s known for its lively marina and medieval clifftop citadel. The 13th-century Bastion de l’Etendard houses a small museum with exhibits on the town’s history. L’Escalier du Roi d’Aragon is 187 ancient steps carved into the cliff face. To the southeast, the uninhabited Lavezzi Islands, a nature reserve, have granite boulders and sandy beaches. Overnight Stay at Bonifacio Hotel.

Day 9 : Bonifacio - Sartene.

After breakfast proceed to visit the Sartene. It is an ancient medieval town built on top of a rocky hill. The houses in the old part are granite, as well as the narrow streets. This place is special for its atmosphere, where time seems to have really stopped. Its history dates back to medieval times and granite buildings from the early 16th century still line some of the streets. One of the main incidents in the town's history was an attack by pirates from Algiers in 1583, after which 400 people were taken away. These attacks continued into the 18th century. The town is centred on the Place de la Liberation (previously the Place Porta), at the edge of which is the church of Sainte Marie. The town allows good views across the valley. Sartene wine is appreciated by wine connoisseurs for its good quality. Sartene has given its name to one of the southern Corsican dialects a variety of which is the Gallurese spoken in North Sardinia. Overnight Stay at Bonifacio Hotel.

Here you will find some of the most beautiful beaches on the island; renowned beaches include Palombaggia, its stretch of sand lined with pine trees, and lagoon-like Santa Giulia. Overseas medical policy :
- Minimum coverage of 30,000 Euro per person, the insurance has to cover the entire stay in Schengen territory, minimum 15 days insurance is mandatory from the travel date

Note :

For Schengen visa process all the necessary documents should be in Photocopy except those documents which are asked in ORIGINAL.
All visa applicants irrespective of nationality who applied for Schengen visa should come personally at local VFS office to give mandatory fingerprint formality which is long time consuming in tourist pick season. On the day of submission your all fingers must be clear from HINA (Mehdi), cuts etc.
If Biometric is given after 02nd November 2015 then we can submit your application on behalf of applicant. But if you data could fetch by Embassy/Consulate then they may ask to give biometrics again.
Granting Visas is sole discretion of Consulates / Embassy, subject to the documents submitted. We are facilitators in the process. Best Voyage is not held responsible for rejection or delay in getting visas / passports from said Consulate / Embassy.

If You Cancel Your Trip The Amount Of TCS Paid Is Non-Refundable.
As Per Section 206CCA Of Income Tax Act 1961, In Case You Have Not Filed Your Income Tax Returns For Two Preceding Years; And The Aggregate TDS And TCS Of Each Tax Year Is INR 50,000 Or More - On Validating The PAN If It Is Found That You Have Not Filed Your Income Tax Returns For Two Preceding Years And Aggregate TCS And TCS Exceeds INR 50,000, An Additional TCS @ 5/20% (As The Case May Be) Will Be Recovered From You Or Booking Will Get Cancelled And Cancellation Charges Will Apply.

Specified Person' Means A Person Defined As Per Provisions Of Section 206CCA Of Income Tax Act, 1961.
The User Is Liable To Pay Tax Collected At Source (TCS) On Booking Of An 'Overseas Tour Package' At An Appropriate Rate Over And Above The Price Charged For Such Package In Compliance With The Provisions Of Section 206C (1G)(B) Of The Income Tax Act, 1961. Best Voyage Pvt Ltd Will Deposit The TCS Amount So Collected With The Government And Issue Appropriate Document/Certificate To The User In Compliance With Aforesaid Provision.
The User Is Required To Provide A Valid PAN Of User/ Traveller(S) At The Time Of Booking An Overseas Tour Package With Best Voyage Pvt Ltd. The User Understands And Agrees That Best Voyage Pvt Ltd, At The Time Of Booking Or At A Later Stage, Will Validate The PAN Provided By The User To Check Compliance Of Provisions Of Section 206CC Of Income Tax Act. The User Agrees That In Case The PAN Is Found To Be Invalid, Or It Does Not Belong To User/ Traveller(S), Best Voyage Pvt Ltd Has An Obligation To Cancel The Booking In Compliance With The Law And Process The Refund As Per The Cancellation Policy Applicable To Said Booking.
The User Further Understand And Agrees That Best Voyage Pvt Ltd Would Also, At The Time Of Booking Or At A Later Stage, Validate User/ Traveller(S) PAN As Per The Provisions Of Section 206CCA Of Income Tax Act And If On Validation The User Qualifies As A 'Specified Person', The User Agrees To Pay TCS To Best Voyage Pvt Ltd At Such Higher Rate As May Be Applicable Under Section 206CCA. The User Agrees To Pay The Additional TCS Amount To MMT Where, As A Result Of Validation Under Section 206CCA, The TCS Collected At The Time Of Booking Falls Short Of The Applicable Rate Of TCS. The User Further Confirms To Best Voyage Pvt Ltd That User/ Traveller(S) PAN And Aadhar Are Linked With Income Tax, At The Time Of Booking Or At A Later Stage.
